17.10 just went live so we tried out APF. 15 started and 10 made it to gen Smiley   There was a bit of a problem tho with rolling the phatz (too many cooks, not enough indians). I'm thinking there will be alot more in the future.   Anyhows, I though it would be possible for a half decent programmer to come up with a nice external tool that one member of the raid can use to divvy up the lewt.

How about;
A Clicksaver type Loot List, (Open general, Script Loot to chat blob)
Vicinity packet logging to get Raiders list (Toons in vicinity)
Script blob item to be rolled, anyone want in says "Im In!"  (possible to capture chat I guess for auto checkboxing)
Checkboxes against raiders for inclusion in rolls
Random rolling for checked toons, Results Scripted to chat blob

Anyone interested or have further ideas?

This is actually a really good idea. I may try this out.

I personally created a roll script very similar to whats seen in vhabot,bebot and budabot with a countdown timer and raid command like issued spam

I use it to gather a list of folks that want in on the roll, based upon response in the order they are received (since the script has a insta-tell to me saying 'I want in" when they click 'join the roll) then I'll use helpbot to roll the loot.

Have used it in a few raids and folks have loved it.

I have also created scripts to 'Attack target <target> and raid commands.

Basically what I'm doing is creating a program that reads log files much like a damage dumper would. Except instead of reading for damage, it will read for specific commands (!loot, !add, !roll, etc). Then, it outputs this information into scripts (/lootlist /rollresults) so the RL can display the lootlist or the results of the roll.

The code is crappy (I'm no programmer), but its a fairly simple program that performs the only major function I think isn't addressed by the Raid interface, rolling multiple items at once. Once I test it a bit more, I'll release an alpha release here.

I feel like this would (could) be used by anyone who wanted to start a raid, but it APF or whatever, but didn't have a bot to do so. Setup is simple, anyone who can set up a damage dumper can handle this.
